The official numbers
OnlyFans doesn't publish what a typical creator earns, but it does share totals. Here's what the company has reported:
| What OnlyFans reported | Number |
|---|---|
| Fans spent on the platform in 2024 | $7.2 billion |
| Paid to creators in the year to Nov 2025 | About $6.3 billion |
| Paid to creators since 2016 | About $30 billion |
| Creators who have earned $1M+ since 2016 | 5,076 |
| Creator accounts in 2024 | About 4.6 million |
If you split every dollar evenly across every creator account, it works out to roughly $100 a month each. But most of those accounts are barely active, and the money isn't split evenly at all.
What a typical creator earns
Industry estimates put the median OnlyFans creator at under $200 a month, and only around 1 in 10 at more than $1,000 a month. These are estimates from creator surveys, not official numbers, but they all point the same way: most creators earn very little, and a small group earns most of the money.
Why most creators make under $200
It's not because OnlyFans doesn't pay. Most creators start a page, post a few times and stop. They don't put in the hours, or they try to do everything alone without the right team behind them. The problem is that most start but never really try.
In our experience, a creator who invests real time and energy into her page can reach $4K to $5K a month. Add a full team for marketing and 24/7 chatting, and that number can go much higher.
What top creators earn
At the top, the numbers get big. Over 5,000 creators have passed $1 million in lifetime earnings. At Straton, creators who are 100% managed average $70K a month. That's not typical for OnlyFans as a whole. It's what happens when marketing, chatting and account management all run full time.
Where the money actually comes from
- Subscriptions: fans pay monthly to follow you, from $4.99 to $49.99, or nothing on a free page.
- PPV: paid content you send in messages. For most top creators, this is the biggest slice.
- Tips: fans tipping on posts, in messages or for requests.
- Customs: personal content made for one fan at a set price.
This is why two creators with the same number of fans can earn wildly different amounts. The one who replies fast, remembers her fans and offers the right PPV at the right time earns far more. More on that in our Chatting Academy.
What 1,000 fans can be worth
Here's how Straton's earnings calculator models a fully managed page with 1,000 fans, before OnlyFans' 20%:
| Page type | 1,000 fans, per month |
|---|---|
| Paid page | About $30,000 |
| Free page | About $15,000 |
These are estimates for a page with full marketing and 24/7 chatting, not a promise. A page with 1,000 fans and slow replies will earn a fraction of this.
What moves your income the most
- 1Steady new fans: daily marketing on social media, not random bursts.
- 2Fast, real replies: fans spend when someone answers, day or night.
- 3Smart PPV pricing: never underselling your best content. See Price Assurance.
- 4Consistency: posting on a schedule so fans stay subscribed.
- 5Keeping fans: a fan who stays six months is worth far more than six who leave after one.
